The development of this laboratory manual was a collaboration between Drs. M.A.R.
Priyantha and J.E. Rubin. This manual is intended to serve as a starting point bacterial identification using biochemical tests. These materials were developed specifically for the regional labs within
the Department of Animal Production and Health and the Veterinary Research Instituteof Sri Lanka.
