      Abstract
This research deals with the mechanization of agriculture in northern Manitoba. Particular emphasis is centered on the area comprising the Swan River Valley. The purpose of this study was, largely, to find how the farmers of this area are adjusting themselves to a high degree of mechanization. To the author's knowledge it is, to date, the only survey of this nature which has been conducted in western Canada. It was felt that, due to the survey, certain recommendations might become apparent which would contribute to a more intelligent approach to the mechanization problem.
