Abstract
The theory of the rock properties of porosity and
permeability is discussed. A method is presented for determination
of absolute permeability from mercury capillary pressure
data.
Equipment for determination of grain size distribution,
porosity, permeability and capillary pressure is described in
detail. The results of analyses conducted upon Viking sandstone
cores employing this equipment, are presented. The interrelations
between the various rock properties which were investigated are
examined and the conclusions derived therefrom, are presented.
