      Abstract
The purpose of this study is to record the growth of the Programmes of Study authorized for use in the Public Schools, Secondary Schools, and Normal Schools in the North-West Territories to 1905 and the province of Saskatchewan to 1931, and to list the text books prescribed for use in connection therewith. The Programmes of Study authorized before 1912 are treated in much greater detail than those following, as until that date copies of the Programmes are not readily available. To continue to treat all subsequent changes in such detail would result in a volume far too extensive for a study of this nature. Though the regulations accompanying all Programmes have not been listed, every effort has been made to include all regulations having a definite bearing on the content of any Course of Study.
