dc.description.abstract | Piperazine and 2,5—dimethylpiperazine have long been used as antirheumatics and in the treatment of gout be-cause of their property of dissolving uric acid (1). Many other piperazine compounds, either monosubstituted or N,N'-disubstituted, exhibit interesting therapeutic activi- ties. A survey of the chemical structures of pharmaceuti-cals now on the market shows that certain ones contain a piperazine nucleus (2). Examples of pharmaceuticals con- taining the piperazine nucleus are' as follows. | en_US |
