Abstract
This workbook is designed to help you and your organization develop an action plan to become more animal aware. It includes eight activities for completion alongside the online course Animal Awareness for the Substance Use Workforce. The online course is made-up of four learning modules, as well as an introduction, which take approximately an hour each to complete. You can receive a University of Saskatchewan digital badge for completing the course and possible continuing education credit from your professional organization.
The aim of the course is for learners to consider both their own and their organizational awareness and understanding of the benefits of human-animal interaction on human health and wellbeing across the substance use care continuum. The outcome of completing this corresponding workbook should be a personalized roadmap, or action plan, outlining key steps necessary to become animal aware.
