Research in quantum gravity presents us with a rich set of problems that challenge established solution methodologies. It is often helpful to understand these theories in their low energy limit to help us better understand their connection to classical general relativity. This often requires including additional fields or dimensions into the classical picture. It is then necessary to examine a variety of analytical and numerical techniques for solving these complex higher-dimensional problems under extended Einstein gravity. This research will take a strong focus on the methodology in use within the field today and apply it to find new solutions for a sampling of non-trivial problems. In the course of this investigation, this thesis will also establish the necessary background to put those solutions into physical context. This thesis discusses methodologies applied in the field today with some modification, gives a collection of new solutions to various problems, and covers the background necessary to address those problems in a meaningful way.
