In Saskatoon, two Wikipedia Edit-a-thon events have been held in partnership between the local libraries and arts organizations. The purpose of these events was to collectively and purposefully improve the quality and quantity of Wikipedia entries on Canadian women artists and to encourage a higher representation of women editors. This presentation will address aspects of program planning, outcomes, and lessons learned. Attendees will learn about some of the challenges encountered, be introduced to some of the resources available to event organizers, and how this campaign fits into the larger picture of information activism.en_US
