Abstract
An electronic analogue computer is used to simulate two interconnected electrical power generating areas; One area is represented by a complete nuclear fired turbo-electric power plant, and the second area is represented by an effective rotary inertia, load damping, and governor characteristic.
A study of interconnection tie-line interaction, load-frequency control, and internal plant operation was performed on the analogue simulator. The results are compared to tests carried out on an actual interconnected system and are found to be valid within experimental accuracy.
