Item Trends Surrounding Green Powders as a Dietary Supplement(2023-12-18) Alexander-Stef, Kristi; Grasby, Jessi; Jozic, Emma; Olson, ChelseaVegetables and fruits are a vital part of a healthy diet. However, trends show that the general population is not consuming recommended daily amounts of these foods (1, 3). Approximately 40% of Canadians use vitamin and mineral supplements (4) meaning it is important for dietitians to be aware of the usage trends of emerging products on the market. Greens powder (GP) is a dietary supplement consisting of vegetables, fruits, and other nutraceutical components taken orally as a powder. Social media advertising for GP is aggressive and relies heavily on influencer anecdotes rather than evidence-based research to support health claims. GP manufacturers claim numerous benefits including: debloating, better gut health, and improved energy and cognition. There is a lack of research specific to GPs. The purpose of this research is to explore GP practices, as well as assess the exposure to supplement marketing on social media platforms that is specific to GPs.Item The Benefits and Barriers of Meal Prepping(2023) Painchaud, Connor; Lindain, Jepril; Stocki, Nicole; Veskovic, KatarinaItem Consumption of Cow's Milk vs. Plant-Based Beverages at USask (2023) Manlapaz, Jose Luis; Mitzel, Kylie; Poppleton, John; Tameling, JadeItem What are the Practices Around Fast-Food Consumption at the University of Saskatchewan?(2023) Rebeyka, Jasmyn; McDougall, Kali; Hanson, Danika; Ebert, IsabelleItem Attitudes and Practices Towards Eating with Others Among the University of Saskatchewan Community(2023) Meikle, Carlie; Oakenfold, Caitlyn; Stadnyk, Carolyn; Wilson, KaileeItem How Have Increased Grocery Prices Affected Food Purchasing Behaviours?(2023) Ackerman, Brooke; Foster, Breanna; Mansell, Erin; Wuchner, PaigeItem Mindful Eating in the University of Saskatchewan Community(2022) Ha, Esther; Phillips, Maya; Berg, Gabby; Novakowski, SarahItem Attitudes Towards Diet and Mental Health among the USask Community(2022) Cresswell, Heather; Lenz, Abigail; Thienes, Auburn; Hansen, KatelynneItem Protein Powder uses in the University of Saskatchewan Community(2022) Bird, Cameron; Ackerman, Jazmin; Grela, Sara; Federis, StephenItem Protein Trends at the University of Saskatchewan(2022) Peters, Elle; Matisz, Kai; Fichter, Shayna; Schick, JaceyItem How Does the University of Saskatchewan Community Interact With Food Labels?(2022) Kusch, Thera; McLeod, Spencer; Monette, James; Szukaylo, KayleeItem Caffeine Consumption Behaviours at the University of Saskatchewan(2022) Shaw, Breanna; Cresswell, Baylee; Rutten, OliviaItem Nutrition Education, Fad Diets, and Social Media in the University of Saskatchewan Community(2022) Young, Jessie; Meimaris, Sophia; Petryk, Jordyn; Voykin, Jordy
